Although Im based in Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland, I paint and ship my waterdcolour paintings of buildings all around the world, so dont let my Scottish-ness put you off, if your building of choice is far away ;)
I love having a variety of architecture styles to paint (I did paint only buildings built with stone for a few months and I was very happy to get a modern home commission after that!) Every commission is painted in my style, so if you love my style, you will love your building painted by me - capturing that special character and personality that makes your home special.

FAQs
- How much are your buildings portrait commissions?
My prices start at £125 for a small loose sketch style painting and increase from there. The most common size requested is a painting within a 12x16" mount for £280. We can discuss your particular requirement when you share your photos.
- Time frames
We will agree a time frame on the acceptance of the commissison. Sometimes it may require 6 months notice so get in touch as early as possible.
- Deposit/Payment
Once we have agreed on the artwork size and price, I ask for 50% (excludong shipping) non-refundable deposit just before I start work on your painting.
The remainder of the of the payment should be paid once the artwork is complete,Payment is by bank transfer or Paypal.
- The Art Process
We will chat, share photos, chat more, I will illustrate, share progress photos and paint.
The chat stage is where we discuss what you are looking for, have a look at any photos we are working from and discuss any options, angles, inclusions and exclusions, clarify colours and details that might not be evident in the photos. We will also talk about any personalisations like adding a cat in the garden or a dog in the window. I then ask for a photo of said cat or dog.
As my work is handdrawn and ink lined, then painted in watercolour, its important to get the requirements clear before I start as the painting cannot be edited once the ink and paint is on the paper.
- Shipping
My paintings are shipped flat in an appropriate box or cardboard backed envelope- unless the work is particularly large, in which case it will be mailed in a postal tube.
All orders dispatched to the UK will be sent via Royal Mail.
All orders dispatched to anywhere else in the world are also sent via Royal Mail which then gets handed to your national postal service. International delivery timescales depend on where you live but would usually take 1-2 weeks.

INT Postage - up to £25.00- Copyright
As the creator of the artwork, I own the copyright and retain the exclusive rights to reproduce the artwork, whether in the form of prints or merchandise etc. Anyone who wishes to reproduce my work in any form must seek my permission to do so.
